These two Adobe Photoshop® plug-ins enhance Photoshop by allowing the icon artist to directly export their artwork from Photoshop to a MacOS custom icon.
System Requirements
You need a Macintosh computer with at least a 68020 processor and Adobe Photoshop
You need to be using System Software version 7.5 or higher. For 32-bit icon support, you need to be using System Software version 8.5 or higher (Export Icon will create 32-bit icons even if you aren't using System 8.5 or higher, but, of course, you can't see them without at least System 8.5).
Quick start
1. Copy the two plug-in files ("Export Icon" and "Export Layer Icon") to your Adobe Photoshop "Plug-ins" folder.
1.5. Inside Photoshop's "Plug-ins" folder there may be subfolders for the different types of plug-ins Photoshop can use. If so, you should place "Export Icon" into the "Import/Export" subfolder and "Export Layer Icon" into the "Filters" subfolder.
2. Create your 32x32 pixel icon image in Photoshop.
3. If your image isn't already in "RGB" mode, use the "Mode" sub-menu under the "Image" menu to change the image's mode to RGB.
4. a) If you want to export the entire, flattened image to a custom icon, use the "Export Icon" plug-in located in the "Export" menu under the "File" menu.
b) If you want to export only a single layer of your image to a custom icon, use the "Export Layer Icon" plug-in located in the "Kinetic Creations" menu under the "Filter" menu.
5. The plug-in will prompt you for a location to save the custom icon.
How to purchase Export Icon
You are able to use this fully functioning version of Export Icon to decide whether you like it before you pay for it. If you decide to continue using this software, you may purchase it online or by mail, e-mail, FAX, purchase order or phone.
Please note: Export Icon is not in any way disabled before you pay for it. You are given 10 free trials of the plug-in after which it will cease to work.

If you do not wish to use the world wide web when ordering, you can use the enclosed “Purchase by mail/email/FAX” application to create a customized form, which you can then mail, e-mail or FAX to Kagi, whose address is given on the form. It is vital that you use the custom form application since payments sent without the appropriate form may be delayed or lost.
Once your payment has been processed, you will receive your license/registration code. After you enter your name and registration code, the plug-in will no longer display registration reminders and will continue to work normally.
Entering Your Registration Code (and getting rid of the annoying reminders)
Once you've received your registration code, invoke the plug-in and choose "I have paid, here's my code" in the lower-left-hand corner of the reminder window. Another window will appear; type your name and your registration code exactly as it was sent to you. Hit "Ok" and you're done. If you make a mistake in entering your registration information enter it again.
Once you've entered your registration code, Export Icon will no longer bug you with a reminder and will continue to operate normally.

Upgrade policy
Once you purchase Export Icon you are automatically registered for ALL future versions of the plug-ins. Your registration code will work, for example, for versions 1.3, 1.9, 2.1, 4.8, etc. . You will never have to pay another fee for an Export Icon upgrade.

Grant of license
KCI grants you a non-exclusive license for the use of the Software as follows. You may either:

You may permanently transfer ownership of the Software and accompanying materials by delivering the original Software media and materials to a third party who accepts the terms and conditions of this Agreement, and by simultaneously destroying all copies of the Software and accompanying materials in your possession. Such a transfer terminates your license to use the Software.
Distribution rights
The Software may be freely distributed via electronic bulletin boards, user groups, and person to person. When distributed, all accompanying files (READ ME and User's Manual, Purchase by mail/email/FAX program, etc.), are to be distributed with the Software WITHOUT EXCEPTION. The Software is not to be included with any commercial software or any public domain/shareware package sold for profit without proper written consent from Kinetic Creations, Inc..
Warranty

BY FAR the easiest way to pay for Export Icon is with a credit card on the web. Go to our online shop at: <http://www.KineticCreations.com/shop> and fill out the online payment form.
Otherwise, paying for Export Icon is still fairly simple. Open the "Purchase by mail/email/FAX" application that accompanies Export Icon. Enter your name, your email address, and the number of licenses you desire. Save, Copy or Print the data from the purchase program and send the data and payment to "Kagi". More specifics on the purchase application to follow.
If you are paying with a Credit Card or First Virtual, you can email or fax the data to Kagi. Their email address is sales@kagi.com and their fax number is +1 510 652-6589. You can either Copy the data from "Purchase by mail/email/FAX" and paste into the body of an email message or you can Save the data to a file and you can attach that file to an email message. There is no need to compress the data file, it's already pretty small. If you have a fax modem, just Print the data to the Kagi FAX number.
Payments sent via email are processed within 3 to 4 days. You will receive an email acknowledgement when it is processed. Payments sent via fax take up to 10 days and if you provide a correct internet email address you will receive an email acknowledgement.

You can pay with a wide variety of cash from different countries but at present if you pay via check, it must be a check drawn in US Dollars. Kagi cannot accept checks in other currencies, the conversion rate for non-USD checks is around USD 15 per check and that is just not practical.
If you have a purchasing department, you can enter all the data into the purchase program and then select Invoice as your payment method. Print three copies of the form and send it to your accounts payable people. You might want to highlight the line that mentions that they must include a copy of the form with their payment. Kagi can not invoice your company, you need to act on our behalf and generate the invoice and handle all the paperwork on your end. Please do not fax or email payment forms that indicate Cash, Check or Invoice as the payment method. As far as we know, there is still no technology to transfer physical objects via fax or email and without the payment, the form cannot be processed. Payments sent via postal mail take time to reach Kagi and then up to 10 days for processing. Again, if you include a correct email address, you will hear from Kagi when the form is processed.
